Golf Kinross
Jimmy from Argyll & Bute: Finally played Kinross (Montgomery) for the first time this year after it being recommended by various friends. It didn't disappoint, what a brilliant golf course. The layout itself is challenging but fair, nothing too quirky or tricked up, just some really strong golf holes. It was in superb condition, in fact I've yet to play a course this year with greens in better shape. We got a lovely welcome from the gentleman in the Professional Shop and he was very helpful giving us some advice about the water holes. There were two other Professionals playing behind us, we chatted to them briefly and I think it says a lot that other Pros choose to play here on their days off. I'm looking forward to my next visit already, this time to play the Bruce course.
Samuel (West of Scotland): Gets better every time!! I've been playing both of these courses as a visitor for the best part of 15 years now and I can honestly say they get better every year. We've just returned from another weekend staying in The Green Hotel and the golf courses are the best I have ever seen them, the greens in particular are phenomenal. The level of customer service from the Pro and his Assistant was first class, they couldn't do enough for us ... We're already booked up for next year and looking forward to it already.
Kenny Smith: Lovely day for 9 holes at Kinross this afternoon. I can't say enough good things about the improvements being made to both courses. I honestly believe this resort will be one of the best in the area when the greenkeeping team complete their long term plan. Keep up the good work guys.
Peter Salkeld: I played the Bruce today, and let me say the course was in immaculate condition! I've played all over Scotland this summer and without a doubt, the Bruce has been the best I've played. The greens were superb, the fairways great and the rough very fair. And all the staff were top notch also. So, all in all, I would say I'll be back just as soon as I can. Thank you very much for a great day to all the staff and members. A cracking club!
Troy Fridley: We were fortunate enough to be invited up to Kinross to play the Montgomery Course and it was fantastic. My father and I had a great time, the course was beautifully maintained and the greens were fast. You might also be quite surprised by the amount of wildlife you will see. We saw more pheasants on the course today than we have anywhere else in years. I would recommend making a stop if you are visiting or even in the area. There are so many fantastic choices for golf in Scotland and Kinross is right up there with the best of them.
Joe Fortnum: Played the Montgomery Course today with 3 others and we have to say it is the best course we have ever played. The condition was unbelievable.

Craig Galloway: a place I enjoy every time in come. Courses are always in fantastic condition and the 18th on the Montgomery is one of the toughest finishing holes. The Pro Shop and Clubhouse Team can't do enough to enhance our overall experience. Look forward to returning soon.
P Rush, BACUP Golf Club: Just a quick note to say many, many thanks for allowing our golf trip the use of your fabulous and outstanding golf coures. What a pleasure to play such a course. We all agreed it was in fantastic condition from the fairways to the perfect greens - "golfing heaven" as one of our party called it.
Ken Milligan: Excellent course (Montgomery), very interesting greens with huge slopes and slippery runoffs but massively enjoyable. Great clubhouse. Highlight was "the steak pie against which all future steak pies will be measured
Craig Ford: Very nice courses. Both have their goods holes. Would like to play off the whites at some point as some of the holes are completely different from the back tees. Would recommend anyone to play any of the 2 courses
Greig Muir: Played both courses which were in great condition and both very different with the Bruce being more of a challenge with some tricky holes. Greens played well on both courses. The staff are welcoming and the food was great. Also the Pro Greig was very helpful and happy to talk us through each hole to make as aware of hazards. Would highly recommend. I will be playing again next season.
Jimmy Wilson: Great place to stay and play. Have been there many times and stayed at the Green Hotel and played both courses. The courses are always immaculate and the staff are teriffic and they can't do enough for you and the Pro in the shop is also very helpful. I would recommend this to anyone looking for comfort, good food and a challenge on the courses. 5 star!
Scott Archibald: Played on the Montgomery course. Loved it but my golf was terrible but the course was in great condition. Really hard challenge. Pro Shop was great as well.

Great standard of accommodation and food and a friendly atmosphere.Easter Moffat Golf Society: Thank you for the hospitality extended to our visiting party. Although the course had suffered like most courses with excessive rain, it stood up well considering, hats off to the greens staff, our lads thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Colin Mounce: The course was in fantastic condition, the food was excellent all the staff were pleasant and helpful and even the weather was on our side which all contributed to a fantastic day.

Beechwood Golf Club: Thanks to you & all your staff for the warm welcome, great service and fantastic day we all had yesterday. It was one of the best Society outings we have had, and though the weather helped a lot, I think the standard of the two courses and the reception we received really made for a tremendous day. Dalgety Bay & Hillend Charity Golf Day: A big thank you for the support you gave us in organising and running out Charity Golf Day - the funds raised were invaluable in helping us to put on a successful Gala Day. Macmillan Cancer Longest Day Challenge: Can't begin to thank you for the fantastic day we had at Kinross for the golf challenge. From yourself through Aly and Greig to Andy the head greenkeeper, everybody was so helpful. The green staff had been asked to let us through when they saw us out on the course early morning and did so. The courses where in superb condition and the pro shop where flexible in the timings so we finished ahead of the time we thought it would take by over 2 hours. We have managed to raise a considerable sum for Macmillan, none of which would have been possible had it not been for the generosity off all at the golf course staff but especially yourself Jane. This was a fantastic day and we will be forever grateful for the opportunity to play there.
